Lack of trust can greatly hinder organizational productivity. When asked what character traits Yan-koloba develops in them, players overwhelming answer, "trust." As the game is played, players learn to trust their neighbor on the other side as they pass the blocks to them.

Distrust Happens at Any Age
I was observing a Yan-koloba session in a Kindergarten class and more than one player refused to pass their block during the first round of play because, as they put it,“This-block-is mine!”
